Across the entire value chain

CO2 Transfer CCS/CCU is used for safe and efficient handling of captured CO2 across the entire value chain. It covers filling of tank trucks at production facilities, transport to shipping facilities, unloading to stationary tanks, ship transfer and onward transfer to storage or use in CCU.

Dry-break couplings make the difference

The solutions are based on dry-break couplings, which make it possible to connect and disconnect under pressure. This provides a more efficient and safer process and makes loading and unloading faster, since the hoses do not first need to be depressurised.

Filling

The solutions are used for filling tank trucks from CO2 production facilities such as biogas plants, power plants, cement factories and other heavy production sites. The focus is on safe handling, stable operation and high uptime.

With dry-break couplings, filling becomes more efficient because connection and disconnection can take place under pressure. The solution can also be delivered as a standardised hose set targeted at trailers and trucks in CCS and CCU projects. This provides an operation-ready setup for fast and safe connection and disconnection during filling and emptying.

Transport and unloading

After filling, CO2 is transported by tank truck to a shipping facility, where it is unloaded into stationary tanks. This requires a safe and efficient flow between facility, vehicle and tank.

Dry-break couplings make the workflow simpler and contribute to faster and safer loading and unloading. The solution can be part of loading and unloading zones for trucks and trailers, where there is a need for a safe and efficient flow between facility, vehicle and tank.

Ship transfer

Solutions can also be delivered for transfer between facility and ship. The solutions are adapted to the specific application and take into account local conditions such as tides, quay conditions, vessel type and the surrounding facility operations.

This provides a better foundation for safe and stable transfer under the actual conditions on site.

Storage

When CO2 is moved on to storage, safe and stable transfer is critical. The solution must support high uptime and operation that works over time.

The transfer equipment forms a stable link between production, transport and storage infrastructure and contributes to CO2 being handled safely and with full documentation up to the storage point.

CCU and PtX

If the receiver is a CCU facility, CO2 can be used further in production. This may be in methanol production at a PtX facility, where safe and stable handling of CO2 is an important part of the process.

The transfer equipment connects the captured CO2 with production at CCU and PtX facilities and supports a stable flow into the downstream process.

Both male and female couplings are delivered in dry-break design. The solutions are therefore relevant for facility owners, truck owners and tanker manufacturers alike.
